Image editing is fun – at least for the first image. Or the first 10. But if I really have to post-process huge amounts of images, I’d still rather just be done with it. And would continue taking photos, making music or doing other things instead.
Does this sound familiar to you?
Do you sometimes wish you just had to press a “magic button” and all your photos would automatically turn into little works of art? What if you could edit 30, 200, 800 or more photos at once?
Then I have good news for you! My newly released “THO Smart” SmartPreset for Neurapix makes this dream come true.
Note: I did NOT edit a single photo in this post myself. I’ll show you 1:1 the untouched results from the automatic processing by my SmartPreset using AI:
And no, this is not an ordinary Lightroom preset that you will still have to adjust exposure and white balance for years to come. Neurapix SmartPresets work completely automatically, which also takes care of those annoying adjustments for you. The results require only marginal adjustments – if any at all. If necessary, this can be done directly in Lightroom.

What is Neurapix?
You may remember Neurapix from one of my previous posts: A clever Lightroom plugin that edits your photos with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Neurapix uses so-called SmartPresets for editing, which you can obtain in different ways:
- You can either create your own SmartPreset by feeding the AI with your own photos that you have edited with your previous color look.
- You use one of the existing SmartPresets from the Neurapix store – for example my THO Smart Preset.
No matter which method you work with: In the Neurapix plugin you can then start editing directly using artificial intelligence and thus really edit a lot of photos in a very short time.
You can find the links here, and my link will give you even more free edits than usual:
In this video you can take a closer look at the Neurapix AI workflow:
These new SmartPreset functions speed up your workflow
My SmartPreset has received a few great updates. Now you not only get exactly my well-known THO ONE color look completely on autopilot (exposure and white balance also adjust themselves, so you don’t have to do almost anything yourself).
But also other functions that have now been integrated by Neurapix:
- Black and white image look: My SmartPreset now includes a black and white look in addition to the color look. This is super high-contrast and turns your photos into real works of art. The aesthetic is reminiscent of analog photographs and gives your pictures a timeless charm. This is the 06_ONE preset – also from the ONE package.
- Automatic straightening and cropping: Until now, Neurapix could already automatically straighten your photos. The AI can now also make cuts. It is based on the data that I used when creating it. Instead of a generic crop, you now get one that matches my style.
- Integrated retouching mask: I’ve saved the best for last: my well-known retouching mask from the THO AI Portrait Kit is now also directly included. Previously, this was a separate work step. Now Neurapix first takes care of the RAW conversion and the classic THO ONE color look and then – if you want – automatically activates the mask creation in Lightroom. This smoothes the skin, brightens the eyes and makes further retouching adjustments.
So let’s be honest: how cool is that? You really only click once and then the editing with color look, alignment, cropping and mask retouching follows automatically.

Here are some examples that have been completely processed by AI. I have done NOTHING here myself. I have not made any further corrections for a better assessment:
Conclusion: The magic button has become even better
Do you remember my dream of the “Edit pictures” button? Now he is a little closer to reality. Just click on “Start editing” in the Neurapix plugin and the magic begins.
The best thing about it: You can buy my personal SmartPreset in the Neurapix Shop and use exactly my tried and tested color look and my AI mask retouching. This saves you a lot of time that you would otherwise need for creating and fine-tuning your own presets.
Not only has my SmartPreset received an upgrade, the Neurapix plugin itself has also been revised. It now looks more contemporary and clearer. The user interface has been made more intuitive so that you are guided through the editing process even more easily and quickly. Everything is in its place and you can find your way around immediately.
It’s that easy to get started:
- Get the preset: Go to the Neurapix store and get my SmartPreset.
- Install the plugin: Log in to Neurapix* and follow the simple instructions to install the Neurapix plugin in Lightroom.
- Start editing: Open Lightroom and select your photos. In the library view, click at the top on »Library« → »Plugin-Extras / Neurapix / Edit photos…”. In the plugin, select “THO Smart” and click on “Start editing”.
Finished. The AI does the rest. Subsequently, depending on the source material, only marginal adjustments, if any, are required.
